What do you like most about your job?
Supporting and caring for people is different from any other job. From the beginning, I found purpose and satisfaction in working with the elderly. I genuinely believe caregiving is one of the most important career paths one can pursue.
What drove you to begin your profession as a caregiver?
I started my career as a medical assistant; however, I felt my true calling is to care for seniors. I found joy and satisfaction in caregiving - I don’t consider this a career but rather a vocation with purpose.
How would you describe your profession as a caregiver?
Every client has different needs, and to be a compassionate caregiver, it’s vital to value and support their uniqueness. I help my clients daily to maintain their independence and encourage them to make choices. I believe in following my heart and practice persistence to manage my client’s care effectively.
How would you describe Care Indeed’s Culture?
Care Indeed allows caregivers to grow throughout their journeys. The office staff is entirely supportive, and there are many opportunities for growth as a caregiver, including advanced training programs. The company’s leadership values and supports caregivers in every possible way. Is there a golden rule you live by? If so, how did it help you improve your career?
Small acts of kindness create a significant impact on others. I always try my best to help others during hard times. The beginning of great things starts with a small effort. To make a difference in someone else’s life, it’s the small acts of kindness that count. I support and care for seniors by understanding their individual needs and try to find solutions with compassion.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to spend my free time reading, watching TV, and dabble in photography. I like to stay active in my spare time - it helps me return to work relaxed and rejuvenated.
What do you think about being the employee of the month? Is there anything you want to share with your colleagues?
It feels great and motivates me to continue to do good in my job. My advice to my peers would be to keep supporting your clients with compassion, put your true self in everything you do, and you will be blessed.
