Values Matter In a Thriving Work Culture

by Vanessa Valerio, August 05, 2019

What a fantastic month we had at Care Indeed! As we reflect on all the incredible moments we have experienced throughout our company's journey, the ongoing commitment of our employees most humbles us. Through tireless dedication and hard work, our dream of creating a better world for seniors has become a reality.

We recently received the great news that for the second year in a row, Care Indeed is Great Place to Work certified based on employee feedback. All accolades are a blessing; however, I can't think of a higher honor than to be thanked by the very people who make up the fabric of our company.

Over the years, I have come to appreciate the power of an organization's core values and how they play into creating a work culture that resonates. They signify a company's most fundamental beliefs and are the guiding principles in managing both internal affairs and external relationships with customers.

At Care Indeed, honesty, integrity, kindness, and empathy are the building blocks of this foundation. If one is missing, we can't function as a whole. Imagine a leader who is honest and has integrity, but lacks kindness or empathy. An inability to effectively communicate on a human level can create a ripple effect among staff, damage morale, and decrease productivity. For this reason, we must never compromise on these fundamental values.

Dee and I whole-heartedly believe the success of Care Indeed is dependent upon the character of people we hire. It's our moral obligation to create a positive work environment where each employee can thrive personally and professionally, as well as collectively as a team. We are so proud of every individual that makes up our CI family. This award signifies their contributions and validates we have been moving in the right direction. We feel pretty blessed.
